Moving to Samarkand, through the town of Wobkent with a tour of the Wobkent minaret (XII century), which is located near Bukhara. The city of Gizhduvan is one of the handicraft centers of Uzbekistan, which since ancient times was famous for its unusually beautiful, original ceramics. Today it is the only preserved center of polychrome glazed ceramics in the region, which grew up on the traditions of ancestors and successfully continues them in modern times.
Inspection of the Ulugbek Madrasah in Gijduvan. This is one of the three madrasas built by Ulugbek. Madrasa is dual-lined, with an internal mosque and darshan. The facade is covered with solid cladding.

And one of the main attractions of the ancient city is the Gur-Emir mausoleum (“tomb of the sovereign”, “the tomb of the Emir”), where he and his descendants found the last shelter.
The magnificence of this grand monumental building amazes and even suppresses somewhere. It is believed that this ancient tomb became the prototype for such wonders of the world as the mausoleum of the Taj Mahal and Humayun. Many eerie legends and amazing stories are connected with the Gur-Emir mausoleum, as well as with many other ancient buildings of Samarkand.
Mausoleum of the Prophet Daniel According to legend of the 18th century, the remains of the Old Testament biblical prophet Daniyar (Daniel), whose remains were brought to Samarkand and buried by the Central Asian medieval commander and conqueror Amir Timur (Tamerlan), are buried in the mausoleum. The current building of the mausoleum and the complex were built at the very beginning of the XX century, in subsequent years the building of the mausoleum and the complex were reconstructed several times.
